How to Set Up Points Rewards

Points Reward allows you to reward customers with points whenever they make a purchase from your store.

This feature helps encourage customers to buy again, collect points, and redeem them as cashback for their next purchase.

It is a simple way to build customer loyalty and motivate repeat purchases.

Why Use Points Rewards? #

Points Reward is useful if you want to:

  • Encourage customers to return and buy again.
  • Give customers extra value after every purchase.
  • Create a simple loyalty program without using promo codes.
  • Reward members who actively support your store.
  • Increase repeat orders by allowing customers to redeem collected points as cashback.

For example, instead of giving discounts to everyone, you can reward customers who have already purchased from your store.

Example Scenario #

You want to reward customers with points for every purchase they make.

For example:

  • Customer spends: RM1,200
  • Points setting: 1 point for every RM1 spent
  • Points earned: 1,200 points

If your cashback setting is:

  • 1 point = RM0.10 cashback

Then customers can use their collected points 1,200 point = RM120 as cashback when making their next purchase.

This gives customers a reason to come back and continue buying from your store.

💰Tips for Setting Cashback Value 💰 #
  • As a general recommendation, merchants can start with 1 point for every RM1 spent and set the cashback value between RM0.01 to RM0.03 per point.
  • This gives customers around 1% to 3% cashback, which is usually more sustainable for most businesses
  • Merchants with higher profit margins may offer up to RM0.05 per point, but it is recommended to calculate the business margin first before setting a higher cashback value.
