Merchants can edit an order when changes are needed before the order is fully completed. This is useful if the customer requests changes to the delivery details, pickup details, customer information, or ordered items.
Order editing is only available for orders that are still in progress, such as New or Confirmed status.
Once an order has been marked as Completed, the order can no longer be edited.
When Can an Order Be Edited? #
An order can be edited when the order status is:
- New
- Confirmed
An order cannot be edited when the order status is:
- Completed
- Cancelled
This is because completed or cancelled orders are considered final and should no longer be changed.
What Can Be Edited? #
Merchants can edit the following order information:
1. Delivery Details #
Merchants can update delivery or pickup information such as:
- Shopping option
- Payment method
- Delivery or pickup date
- Delivery or pickup time
- Delivery location
- Delivery address
- Customer name
- Customer WhatsApp phone number
- Reference number
- Sales agent referral
- Merchant remarks
Use this option if the customer requests to change their delivery address, pickup date, contact number, or other order-related details.
2. Order Items #
Merchants can also update the items in the order, such as:
- Product quantity
- Unit price
- Discount amount
- Delivery fee
- Add product to the order
Use this option if the customer wants to change the quantity, add another item, or if the merchant needs to adjust the item price or delivery fee.
How to Edit Delivery Details #
- From the admin dashboard, go to Orders.
- Click the edit icon beside the order that you want to edit.
- On the order details page, go to the Delivery details section.
- Click Edit.
- Update the required order details, such as delivery option, payment method, delivery or pickup date, customer information, delivery address, or merchant remarks.
- Click Save Changes to update the order.
How to Edit Order Items #
- From the order details page, go to the Items section.
- Click Edit.
- Update the item details as needed, such as quantity, unit price, discount, or delivery fee.
- To add another product to the order, click Add Product.
- Review the updated order amount before saving.
- Click Save Changes to confirm the changes.
Important:
Changes will take effect immediately after you click Save Changes,
and the updated order details may also be visible to the customer.
Please make sure all details are correct before saving.
